Inspiring a life with smiles...™

Modern life seems to thrive on scandal. I noticed around Valentine's Day that life online was abuzz with not only the usual "I love you" flower photos (see my earlier post), but also with the (always TMI) posts about "the one who done me wrong..."
Someone once told me that confession was good for the soul. Although I suspect she had other ulterior motives for telling me this truism (no, I did not borrow your Cranberries CD - hello 1990s), she may have been on to something. So with Valentine's Day so recently on my mind, I hereby bare my soul, unburdening myself of the secret of my past indiscretion....
A few years ago one of my local libraries had a "blind date" game in which they would wrap books in lovely wrapping paper so you couldn't see which one you had picked. When you returned your book, you could "rate your date" to tell the world how it went....I tried to resist the temptation, after all I was in a committed relationship. But, finally, I succumbed to the allure of the written word, and the mystery sparked by the packaging...
"What's that in your bag?" my SigO asked.
Darn it. Caught in the act...
SigO looked inside the bulging canvas, the shiny paper a dead giveaway of my infidelity. "Uhm, sweetie? I think you're supposed to save some of the blind dates for other patrons."
As I put back 2 or 3 (or TEN) of my choices I mumbled "I swear I wasn't cheating, I was just looking..."
So there you have it folks...a rather racy moment in my reading history...
