Inspiring a life with smiles...™
When I was a kid, I remember having pen pals. (For you youngsters out there, these were people you wrote snail mail letters to, who lived far away from you.) It was fun hearing about the strange things they ate (compared to me), their lives, and what they felt about everyday stuff. (Apparently to children, parents around the globe have too many rules, and freak out about the same stuff!)
Flash forward a couple decades and I still have friends around the globe. Only today, instead of snail mail, we Tweet, post on Facebook, Skype, Instagram our pics, create our dream boards on Pinterest, etc. Unlike the snail mail pen pal, today I can actually interact with my friends - "share a tea" while chatting about our lives in a video chat.
Okay, so I realize that the way I am writing makes me sound really old. (I'm not! I swear!) However, this morning as I was hanging out over Skype with one of my favorite people on this planet, I realized I am just grateful that all the social media exists to bring me and my "global peeps" closer together. And that's something which makes me happy!
